It was funded through a taxpayer-approved bond. The work identified for Crest View Elementary will be done in the summer of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a part of the community engagement process, the district has involved two PTO members, Millie Marshall and Dan Retzlaff, in a Design Advisory Team. This webpage will highlight elements of the work that we think the community may be interested in. Here is a summary. We are currently in the <em>programming<\/em> phase, clarifying work items and needs. Next is the <em>schematic design<\/em> phase, where the architect will prepare preliminary schematic design drawings. Then the project proceeds to the more detailed <em>design development<\/em> phase. After this, the DAT&#8217;s involvement is essentially over. The project team develops construction documents, solicits bids, selects subcontractors, and begins construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following table expands on the scope of work described in the project page, and includes the 2022 cost estimates. The project has a responsibility to deliver on these specific promises to voters.  However, within the scope of these items, there is some flexibility on design details. That&#8217;s where community input through the DAT process comes in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;playground surface&#8221; item has the most applicability to the community interests we&#8217;ve heard. We&#8217;d like to replace as much as possible with foam, and reseal the asphalt which has a lot of exposed rocks.
