Background Checks
The level of background check for volunteering depends on the level of student interaction and supervision. The details can change year-to-year, so please refer to BVSD’s flowchart for your situation. It contains links to next steps.
As the flowchart shows, ongoing volunteering requires a background check, either through Raptor ($32 every 12 months, online only) or through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation ($56 every 5 years, in-person fingerprinting). If it’s helpful, ROCV is happy to reimburse you.
Volunteering Opportunities
ROCV uses HelpAtSchools to track volunteering opportunities. Register with the same email address you used when registering your child at BVSD, i.e. the same as Infinite Campus.
