Who: students, parents, and staff who walk, bike, bus ride, or car pool to/from school.
What: national Walk and Roll to School Day celebration
When: Wednesday, October 9 @ 8:20-8:50am (remember, it’s late start Wednesday)
Where: Crest View front lawn near the bike racks
Why: to celebrate families who prioritize healthy activities, clean air, and reduced car traffic around school. There will be music, snacks, lawn games, and raffle prizes (no tickets, students are pre-entered)! Cosmo, the school mascot, may even be there!
Note: part of this event is the ‘Ride and Stride’ for school bus riders. The school buses will drop students at the Boulder Meadows Community Center (near 19th & Violet) where they will meet staff and parent volunteers to walk the rest of the way to school. If you do not want your student to participate, please let the front office know you opt-out, and your student can remain on the bus to be dropped off at Crest View.
Volunteers: this event still needs parent volunteers!
