Fall Festival Co-Chair – This person(s) organizes and runs our annual Fall Festival. This event occurs at the beginning of the year and is a favorite of the students. This event changes slightly each year based on the coordinators, but usually includes a bike rodeo, climbing wall, food trucks, authentic food from our FET community, a band and dancing. This person(s) is responsible for coordinating all participants, securing volunteers and running the event. Time commitment; several hours of email and coordination work in the Spring and August, and coordination the week of the festival in September.
Spring Fling Co-Chair: If you love event planning and a fantastic community event, this is a wonderful opportunity to help bring families together for one of Crest View’s most beloved nights! This is an outdoor event with food trucks, a climbing wall, entertainment, etc… We are looking for someone to plan the event, secure food trucks and coordinate a day of volunteers. This is typically a shared position.
Time commitment: Primarily in March and April
Social Media Coordinator: Are you social media savvy? Help ROCV develop a media presence to help spread the word about all of the fun and functional ways that ROCV impacts our community and school.
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per month
Lights of December Parade Coordinator: This is a community event that takes place the first weekend in December in downtown Boulder and offers another really fun opportunity to bring CV families together. We are looking for someone to coordinate the parade float by organizing a group of parents to design and plan the float theme, coordinate volunteers to provide materials for the float, build the float, and walk in the parade. Volunteer would also facilitate efforts for school-wide participation in creating decorations and would secure parade participation by registering for the parade in late September/early October. This can be a shared position, and previous years’ notes, volunteer sign-ups, and some decorations are available.
Time commitment: 6-8 hours in late-October/November, with one full day in December
Zapsters Co-Chair: Are you into pedal-powered transportation? We need a volunteer to help coordinate this well-established program that encourages students to bike to school year-round. It’s a minimal time commitment with big payback in kid appreciation! You’ll help promote the program and coordinate weekly and year-end prizes.
Time commitment: Primarily early fall prize planning, then approximately 1 hour/month throughout the year to deliver them.
