Mission:

At Crest View elementary reaching out to, and supporting, our community is one of our core values. In forwarding that mission, ROCV has created a space to celebrate our students’ achievements in giving back to their school, neighborhood, families, and the greater Boulder community. There will be multiple volunteer opportunities throughout the school year for parents and students to participate. These opportunities will give students the chance to explore the FUNdamentals of caring.

Caring Cougars:

The Caring Cougars program is designed to teach our students the art of being selfless, and the joys of giving back to their community. The program works by rewarding students with points for their charitable acts of service.  The points will accumulate with the top earners receiving a fun prize at the end of the school year! Each student who participates in the Caring Cougars program will receive a virtual raffle ticket where each month one child from every grade level will be randomly selected to receive a gift. The program is not a competition, but a fun way to get the children excited about giving back to their communities.  The program is also an opportunity to recognize and validate the hard work of our students who go out of their way to pay it forward.

Upcoming Events

Here are the initiatives that have begun and some of those that will be coming soon.

-Crest View Community Closet pop-up shop

This event is designed to make sure that all students can participate in this time-honored tradition. Families can donate Halloween costumes they no longer need to the Community Closet, and we will sort them and make them available for FREE in a spooky-themed shopping adventure open to all Crest view families. There will be a donations box outside of the school from October 10th-21st. Please only donate store bought or homemade costumes that are in good condition and appropriate size for elementary school age children. Costumes will be available for pick up after school from starting October 21st from 2:50pm-3:30pm in room 112.

-Trick or Treating at Sunrise Senior Center

Sunrise senior center has invited a limited number of Crestview families to trick or treat after school at their Halloween party! Sign-up sheet coming soon.

-Holiday card workshop

This will be an opportunity for Crest View students and parents to have fun day of holiday crafting, all while giving some extra love to those who need it during the holiday season, and to show our appreciation for our community helpers. We will be making holiday cards for seniors at Boulder Manorcare, as well as holiday cards for the medical staff at Foothills hospital. All Crest View families are welcome and encouraged to participate in the fun!
